Ex-tec 3G provides explosion protection for Ac powered electric equipment. The system does not detect a gas but works by enclosing all ignition sources.

Ex-tec 3G is fully certified for use in Zone 2 areas and is an alternative to gas detection. It means that the truck performs almost exactly like the original.

A solution for Ac electric equipment

All conversions take place at Pyroban factories or Features include:

Ex-tec 3G | Systems cover IIA or IIB, T3 or T4(option)
Certification | Certified as Category 3G equipment for use in Zone 2 areas only

Ex-tec 3G operates just like a standard truck with the safety expected from Category 3G equipment

Ac Motors | All motors have to be assessed for their suitability for use in Zoned areas which includes arcing, sparking areas, insulation and rotational clearances.
Temperature monitoring | of hot surfaces to T3 200°C or T4 135°C (including brakes and hydraulic fluid if necessary).
Frame leakage monitoring | Highlights electrical failure before risk of ignition source
Components enclosed | All arcing and sparking components are assessed and placed within an EEx'd' explosion proof enclosures where needed.
Battery | Battery is designed and tested to EN 60079-7 EEx'e' and fitted with Eex'd' plugs and sockets.
Battery isolator | removes all power from the protected vehicle.
